We keep this simple, because we use very little. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar or session recording). For visitor numbers we use only cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), which sets no cookies. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) under UK PECR and the UK GDPR.
| Category | What it does | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary / functional | Makes the sites work and remembers your own settings. On the Datum demo this is browser local storage that keeps your report layout, any draft RFIs, whether you've seen the intro tour, and (on the CAD site) whether a contact prompt has already been shown. It stays in your browser and is not sent to us. | No (exempt) |
| Booking widget - Cal.com | If you choose "Accept", we load the Cal.com booking calendar so you can book a call without leaving the page. Cal.com may set its own cookies for that. If you decline, the calendar simply isn't loaded - the "Book a call" buttons still work by opening Cal.com in a new tab. | Yes - loads only with consent |
| Web fonts (Google Fonts) | On www.dpow.co.uk and the CAD pages, fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the font files. (The Datum demo self-hosts its fonts and makes no such call.) | Not a cookie; disclosed for transparency |
| Analytics | Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics / Speed Insights): aggregate page views and performance only. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising, no personal profiles. | No cookie set (exempt) |
| Marketing | None. No advertising or tracking cookies (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar/Clarity). | - |
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline the optional Cal.com booking widget. Strictly-necessary/functional storage is always on because the sites can't work without it (this is permitted without consent).
How this fits with the personal data we hold is explained in our Privacy Policy. Cal.com's own cookie information is available on its website. For general guidance on cookies and your rights, see the ICO: ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
